What is the Speak Up Women Community all about?
This community encourages the voice, creativity, involvement and advancement of women everywhere so together we can all more fully participate in the global responsibility of changing our world by expressing each individual’s voice in the workplace, through our businesses and non-profit organizations, at home, in our communities and through the media by providing information, education and inspiration through accessible venues online and offline.
Why is it important to become a part of the Speak Up Women Community?
There are three important facets of attending: One, you get yourself around other supportive women. Women need community who elevate each other because we do better when we are in community together than when we try to do something on our own. Two, encouraging each other to speak up is a life long journey. Women supporting each other to speak up means we do more; it’s not a “one and done”, it’s a forever-mission for us all. Finally, this community offers multiple ways for you to participate so you’re more inclined to speak up confidently.
What are the opportunities available for participating in the Speak Up Women Community?
We offer many different opportunities which you’re invited to participate in. Pick one, pick them all, the point is to do what feels motivating to your goals and encourages you to speak up. All events are virtual, so no matter where you are, you can join in. Some are also in person, so if you want to connect live with other women you can. We also offer a quarterly subscription box that is delivered to your home. It includes a book, Speak Up Women’s swag, and other gifts intended to help you find your voice and speak up! The quarterly book is unpacked for you in a book club that includes opportunities to meet with the author. Topics for the quarterly subscription box and book club include causes, health, love, money, career, family, and more. The idea is to keep you inspired each quarter with new ways to use your voice for good!
What if I’m already involved in other women’s communities?
Speak Up Women is a community that believes in contribution – contribution to your life and your contribution to others. We believe that you can belong to many communities where you can contribute. In the Speak Up Women Community, you are encouraged to speak up, use your voice, and use it to make change where change is necessary.
What are the elements of the conference?
Each conference is a one-day virtual event. We’ll have impressive keynotes and panelists sharing their stories and insight. Speak Up Women is designed to be a grassroots collaboration between attendees and a roster of thoughtfully selected presenters, vendors, sponsors, and partners.
How do I participate?
Keynote conversations and moderated panels will be featured during the conference day. Attendees will be required to have the latest Zoom app installed their device to participate. After the event ends, recordings will be available for 30 days to anyone who requests them. To participate, register here.
How much is the conference registration fee?
We have two types of tickets: VIP and general admission.
VIP registration (with gift box included) is $199.
General admission registration is $99.
VIP Registrations received by April 20, 2022 will receive gift boxes prior to the conference.
Registration for the April 2022 conference ends on April 29, 2022.
Can I register the day of the event?
To ensure we have an accurate count, same day registration is not available.
What if I have to cancel?
Cancellations received on or before April 20, 2022 will NOT incur a cancellation fee. However, $20 will be charged for all cancellations after April 20, 2022. No refunds will be issued after April 26, 2022. All cancellations and name substitutions must be submitted in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 26, 2022.
What’s included in the VIP Registration?
VIP tickets include open access to all sessions in the conference agenda, plus a conference gift box. Your gift box is delivered to your home prior to the conference to the address provided at registration if you register by April 20, 2022. It includes gifts to set you up for a great Speak Up Women experience.
You may still register for VIP for the event after April 20, 2022; however, your conference gift box may not arrive prior to the event.
Are meals included in the registration package?
No, but breaks are provided and you should plan for means and snacks during the breaks and presentations throughout the day.
If I have already registered but cannot attend, can I send someone else in my place?
We will accept a name change if the request is received in writing by April 26, 2022. All name change requests must be submitted by the original registrant.
I’m interested in being a speaker at the conference. Have speakers been selected yet?
Speakers are still being accepted for review. Please apply by completing this form
. All applicants will be reviewed and responded to no later than April 11, 2022.
Where is the conference being held?
It’s virtual, you can attend from wherever. We request that if you are on camera that you be in a quiet, private location so you can participate freely and without disturbing others. If you purchase a VIP registration with a gift box, you will receive a door hanger with DO NOT DISTURB on it to keep others out while you are participating.
